Kobo is about to undercut a lot of e-readers on the market with its new high-resolution Glo HD. The new e-reader features a backlit 6″ touchscreen, and its 300 ppi resolution would put it in league with Retina-class displays on smartphones for sharpness. That should theoretically make the device appear more paper-like than lower resolution displays. It’s closest competitor would be Amazon’s Kindle Voyage, but that device costs $70 more; the Glo HD is priced at $129.99 (€129.99/£109.99).
